The Star Inn has an interesting history dating back to the early 1600’s. Situated in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands the building has been at the heart of village life in the hamlet of Cotton for many hundreds of years. It has been a coach house, a grocer and even a courthouse. Many of these original features can still be seen in the building today, including metal bars on one of the windows where there was once a holding cell for the courthouse.
The Staffordshire Moorlands boasts wonderful scenery and superb walking trails. We’re also just 5 miles from the Peak District and The National Park. For the thrill seekers, Alton Towers is only 1 mile away.
We have a good selection of local real ales, homemade food, large garden & for when the weather is typically British, we have roaring log burners.
As avid dog lovers, we are happy to welcome your pooches in selected bar areas of our Pub and garden. We have roaring log burners to keep your furry friends warm. Treats, water & towels to dry off are available for those post-long walks.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions, queries or suggestions, and we would be happy to help.
